The AerosolBarrier(TM) Endotracheal Intubation/Endoscopy Box from Endosim provides an inexpensive solution to protect physicians and nurses while taking care of patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The AerosolBarrier(TM) is a reusable protective shield that helps limit the exposure to COVID-19. The box is placed over the patient’s head and shoulders as they are undergoing endotracheal intubation or upper GI endoscopy under MAC or sedation. Two rear-facing 5” ports with air-tight silicone seals allow anesthesiologists to pass their arms through to manipulate the airway during endotracheal intubation. There are two additional side ports on the sides for the intubation assistant as well as the gastroenterologist to provide access to the mouth for upper endoscopy. The GI access port is set at a comfortable height to allow a patient to lie in a left lateral position during endoscope insertion. After each use, the AerosolBarrier(TM) can be disinfected using standard hospital procedures. The disposable silicone ports can replaced in between patients.
